An unbelted Iota woman was killed Tuesday when her car left the road and hit a tree, ejecting her.
State Police said the accident happened about 11 a.m. on La. 91 north of here.
The transition process began Monday in the Eunice Police Department and City Court, less than 48 hours after winners in Saturday’s run-off voting had been decided.
Terry Hoychick was elected city court judge and Randy Fontenot was the police chief winner.
