In Honor & Remembrance ceremony set Sunday
The Woodmen Life Chapter 243 in Eunice and in cooperation with the city of Eunice will have In Honor and Remembrance ceremony on Sunday at the Circle Park in Eunice.
The St. Landry Parish Council has scheduled committee meetings beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Old City Market, 131 W. Bellevue St., Opelousas.
A special meeting also is planned.

Church bazaar in Duralde
The annual church bazaar at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Duralde is set for Sept. 17 and 18.
Saturday features Bingo games, burger and snacks sales from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

A mobile disaster recovery center opened Sunday, Sept. 4, in Evangeline Parish to assist Louisiana flood survivors. The center is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week, until further notice.
