Baltakis named Rotary Citizen of the Year 2013

She thought that she was going to the Eunice Rotary Club’s annual Christmas party to hear her husband give a speech.
But the only speech made that night was when Rotarian John Pucheu announced the club’s annual “Citizen of the Year” award recipient.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year for shoplifting arrests.
Eunice Police Department police reports confirm that as of December 6th, 2013, 12 people have been arrested and charged with shoplifting since December 1, 2013.

Smith named new CEO of Mercy Regional and AMC

Mercy Regional Medical Center announced this week that Scott M. Smith has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO) overseeing Mercy Regional’s Ville Platte campus and Acadian Medical Center campus in Eunice, effective January 1, 2014.
