ELLISVILLE, Miss. - The top ranked LSU Eunice softball team will play in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament set for May 8-10, at Jones County Junior College, the host site for the four-team regional.
The LSU Eunice baseball team scored 13 runs on 13 total hits en route to a 13-9 victory over Meridian Community College on Sunday afternoon to sweep the teams’ weekend series.
The Eunice High Bobcats pounded out nine hits and Bobcat pitching limited the Lutcher High Bulldogs to just one run as the Bobcats claimed an 8-1 victory in the bi-district round of the Class 4A state playoffs Friday afternoon at Bobcat Field.
LAFAYETTE - Eunice High senior Kate McLemore won the Regional girls discus competition with a throw of 108-6 to make a familiar return trip to the state track meet.
McLemore repeated as state champion last year with a toss of 116-9 after a winning throw of 103-3.
BATON ROUGE – The trek to the state baseball tournament began with a road win for the Blue Jays as No. 19 St. Edmund grabbed a 7-5 win over No. 14 Christian Life Academy Thursday in Baton Rouge.
