Autopsy shows woman Lake Arthur woman drowned

A woman found dead in a foot of water in a wooded area on Jan. 31 drowned as a result of hypothermia.
Lake Arthur Police Chief Cheryl Vincent said Thursday that Lacie Fontenot, 27, died at the scene, near West Sixth and Commericial.
The Calcasieu Parish Coroner’s Report concluded she liked died two days before being found.
High levels of an illegal controlled substance were found in her system, the report said.
