Man charged with sex crimes against two under 10 years of age
A Krotz Springs man faces life in prison, or worse, if convicted of alleged sex crimes against two girls under age 10.
The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested Robert Nall, Jr. for two counts of Aggravated Rape and one count of Oral Sexual Battery. The juvenile victims were each under 10.
St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Detectives were asked to assist the Krotz Springs Police Department with an investigation earlier this month after Krotz Springs officers advised that the mother of two minor children, both female, had asked that Nallbe investigated in reference to alleged inappropriate actions with her daughters.
S.L.S.O. Juvenile detectives investigated the accusations. As a result of their investigation, Nall was arrested Dec. 18 2014. He is currently held without bond at the St. Landry Parish Jail, awaiting trial.
Officers said both children have physically recovered and the mother was made aware of organizations that provide recovery counseling for juvenile victims of sexual assault.
Sheriff Bobby J. Guidroz stated “An investigation of this nature calls for careful procedure that respects the privacy of the juvenile victims and their family, while at the same time observing the rights of the accused suspect. A sexual crime like this against children under 10 years old shocks the senses. As investigators, we must set aside our horror as we focus on the facts. The children are now safe with their mother and Robert Nall Jr. will have his day in court.”
Details and records ordinarily public record in other criminal cases are sealed to ordinary people in St. Landry's 27th Judicial District Court if the charges are sex crime in nature.
