FRANKLIN, LA.
Three men accused of separate sex crimes allegedly committed against victims 5-, 6- and 8-years-old had hearings last week at the 16th Judicial District Court with one scheduled for trial Jan. 13.
Shooting is expected to begin in March here and in Cecilia, Lafayette and Lake Charles for “Along the Dirt Road,” and independent, full-length movie by Motion Ent. Productions of Elk Grove, Calif.
Casting calls have already been held in Lake Charles and Lafayette.
Eddie James Sonnier got sick while burning garbage at Louisiana State Penitentiary and died last month in the prison’s infirmary. He was buried at Angola the day after Christmas with nobody but fellow inmates to see him off.
The federal government will not be building a protection levee for three parishes along the Louisiana coastline.
