The La. 182 bridge over Berwick Bay appears to be safe from being demolished after an announcement Tuesday that the state Department of Transportation and Development has plans to preserve and repair the bridge.

Tuesday at approximately 11:40 pm Louisiana State Police Troop L responded to a single-vehicle fatal crash on US 190 in Robert near the Wal-Mart Distribution Center. The crash took the life of Bobby Creekmore Jr. of Robert.
