A 27-year-old Washington woman is being questioned by the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Detectives for allegedly shooting her parents.
They come from the East Coast, the Midwest, the Southeast, the Northwest. They were raised in big cities, small towns and everything in between.
Total enrollment at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette this semester, at 18,796 students, is the highest in the school’s history.
LSU has brought in one of the largest freshman classes in the university’s history, and overall enrollment increased to more than 30,000 students for the first time since 2005. Across all LSU campuses statewide, total enrollment also increased to 44,246.

Changing people’s perceptions of how foods taste – or even how foods feel in the mouth – can help direct them to more healthful food choices, said Witoon Prinyawiwatkul, a researcher in the LSU AgCenter School of Nutrition and Food Sciences.
