I have fallen in love with a city. Eunice has seduced me. Though I am a minister in this city, I am also a visitor. My tired eyes beheld many small towns in Acadiana before resting on Eunice. But what I have seen here is a revelation. It is like watching a sunrise after decades of darkness.
Recently there has been extensive criticism of private fund raising at LSU based only on the university’s endowment. In 1981 the University’s endowment was $3.0 million and the Foundation had two employees.
The United States (a small sample of then and now) ... Well my goodness, conditions have certainly changed, shall we say the 1950s compared to now. I believe we were in the era of Dwight D. Eisenhower.
