MONROE – The Eunice High Bobcats claimed a 6-0 victory over 5A Southwood of Shreveport on Friday night to start play in the 2015 Trey Altick Louisiana Prep Classic.
The Eunice High Bobcats dominated the early going, but the St. Edmund Blue Jays dominated the late going to earn a 6-5 victory Tuesday night at North Park.
The annual Lady Cat Invitational will begin Friday at Eunice High with eight schools participating in the softball tournament,
Sacred Heart of Ville Platte will face Iota at 3 p.m. in the opener with St. Edmund - Livonia following at 5 p.m.
PRAIRIE BASSE – The Beau Chene High Gators clinched the District 4-4A title here Friday night with a 70-34 victory over the Eunice High Bobcats.
The Eunice High Lady Bobcat softball team has a goal of making it to the Class 4A playoffs in 2015.
Head coach John McLemore and assistant coach Therese Gianfala lost four starters to graduation from last season when the Lady Cats posted an overall record of 8-16.
