The Crowley Gents scored two runs in the sixth inning to break a 3-3 tie on the way to a 6-4 victory over the Eunice Bobcats in Acadiana Metro action Wednesday night at Bobcat Field.
The Gents took advantage of two throwing errors on bunts by the Cats to help them take a 5-3 lead.
STONEWALL – Lefthander Matt Ramsey kept the bats of the Eunice High Bobcats in check for six innings as he led the North DeSoto High Griffins to a 3-1 victory here Tuesday evening in the Bi-District round of the Class 4A state playoffs.
PRAIRIE BASSE – The Eunice High Bobcats ended their regular season with a 9-6 victory over the Beau Chene High Gators here Wednesday afternoon.
PRAIRIE RONDE – The Eunice Lady Bobcats won their third straight St. Landry Parish track title last week at Northwest High, while Opelousas repeated as the boys champion.
The Eunice High Lady Bobcats swept a doubleheader from the Washington-Marion Lady Indians on Tuesday in District 4-4A action at the Lady Cats facility.
In the first game, the Lady Cats took advantage of walks to their first five batters to score six runs for an early 6-0 lead.
