Summer Cultural Camp for the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve’s Prairie Acadian Cultural Center in Eunice is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 11 to 15.
Keep Eunice Beautiful received its fourth President’s Circle Recognition Award from Keep America Beautiful recently. Donna Baltakis, director of Keep Eunice Beautiful, has announced that Eunice will be taking part in the Great American Cleanup in April.
The Great American Cleanup is the nation’s largest annual community improvement program with over four million volunteers .
Cycle Zydeco returns for its 15th year of touring Acadian with stops in Eunice, Arnaudville, Opelousas and Mamou.
Cycle Zydeco, which started off with 200 riders in its first year, expects more than 400 cyclists for the four-day, 200-mile tour this year.

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
