New Title 1 director named at St. Landry Parish School Board meeting

Pilots fly vintage aircraft to D.I.’s Cajun Restaurant

Enrollment is among new chancellor’s challenges

Barely a month into her new job as LSUE chancellor, Kimberly “Kim” Russell says her job is to turnaround a school where enrollment has slumped.
“LSUE has been on the decline since about 2010,” she said.
“That’s not unusual for most community colleges,” she added.

$400M, 13M barrel oil storage, blending facility announced

A $400 million crude oil storage and blending facility was announced for St. Landry Parish Wednesday at the Delta Grand Theater in Opelousas. Obituaries

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
