Soileau Road, east of La. 13, was to be closed at 8 a.m. Thursday and remain closed until about 8 a.m. Friday, for culvert changes, which are part of the St. Landry Parish Smooth Ride Home rural road improvement program.
The three candidates in the District 41 state representative’s election report nearly $109,000 in funding and spending nearly $72,000 of that money as of the Sept. 14 reporting date.

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
