Cart: First generation farmer

Many of those who enter the state’s farming industry are born into the business, but several first generation farmers are also breaking into the profession in St. Landry Parish.

Senior Paige Duplechin led the Passing of the Candle.

Retired Eunice City Judge Lynette Young Feucht is to be honored at the first Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner on June 10 at Ruby’s Restaurant, 123 S. 2nd St., Eunice.
The dinner benefits the Evangeline Area Council of Boy Scouts of America.

Obituaries

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
