Jerod Murphy Isiah Guillory, 20, 100 block of College Road, Eunice. No seatbelt, driver must be licensed, no insurance, resisting an officer and possession of marijuana.

Church bazaar in Duralde
The annual church bazaar at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Duralde is set for Sept. 17 and 18.
Saturday features Bingo games, burger and snacks sales from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Flood damage to business in state estimated at $8.7B

Louisiana Economic Development estimates the August Louisiana flood caused $8.7 billion in damage to Louisiana residential and commercial properties, with damage to businesses in the state exceeding $2 billion. Those figures do not include damage to the state’s public infrastructure.

Some Eunice firefighters want to carry concealed weapons while on duty, according to Fire Chief Mike Arnold.

Obituaries

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
