A power plant for Eunice, which will supply electricity to Ville Platte, Mamou and Iota, is likely, at a construction cost of $500,000.
It’s a case of “drainage and clean ditches” versus “books and reading”.
Either way, a parish-wide property tax proposal is likely coming this year.

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
