As part of Keep Eunice Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, children enjoyed creating art by using recyclable materials.
“Be on a Drug Free team” was one of the themes during Eunice Elementary’s Red Ribbon Week. Students and teachers dressed in their favorite sport team jerseys. Representing their teams are kindergarten students, from left, Kaisten Skinner, Daniel Leger, George Harper and Kaidynce Fontenot.
Mayor of Iota, Mariette Granger, proclaimed National 4-H Week at St. Francis School Oct. 5-9. 4-H students participated in pajama day, crazy socks day, and took part in the weekly school Mass. They also had a dessert contest, wore green shirts, and crazy hats declaring 4-H Week.
