A victim filed a report with the Eunice Police Dept as soon as he noticed discrepancies with his bank account. Officers immediately launched an investigation into the unauthorized transactions at several local businesses.
Eunicetoday.com and other internet sites operated by Louisiana State Newspapers were victims over the weekend of cyberterrorists who apparently confused LSN with NSA on their keyboard and as a result crashed the host servers.

Cpt. Joseph Courville, son of Ozema Courville of Eunice, has drawn praise from the commandant of the Marines for his work at the Marine Institute in Washington, DC. He is assigned to the 2nd Marine Brigade.
St. Edmund Catholic School has named its Teachers of the Year.
Honored for St. Edmund Elementary Teacher of the Year is Ann Fuselier Miller and Mary Anne Burke Bergeron holds the title of St. Edmund High School Teacher of the Year.
