Sam Muffoletto spent a weekend in New Orleans in the interest of the new pop manufacturing plant which he and Sam Uzzo of New Orleans will open here in the near future. The machinery has been purchased.
Former Eunice police lieutenant Raymond “Bubba” Cole has officially announced he run for chief in the November primary.
Cole brings to three the number who have said they’ll seek the post -- already in are Chief Ronald Dies and City Court Probation Officer Randy Fontenot.
Last Sunday night, First Baptist Church voted to make a $3,000 gift to Louisiana College. in memory of Carolyn Ward. That gift has since been increase to $3,500 as individuals have made contributions.
The City of Eunice and citizens on Saturday honored and remembered its fallen six soldiers in the nation’s longest war.
Sgt. Charles Ray Williams, of the US Army, was killed in action in Vietnam on February 8, 1966.
