A Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) Enforcement Division agent and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) agent arrested two Louisiana men on Jan. 31 for alleged hunting violations on the Bayou Cocodrie National Wildlife Refuge (NWR).

The trial for the double murder of the Guidry brothers got under way Wednesday morning in the 15th Judicial District Courthouse in Abbeville.
Accused of killing Micheal Guidry and his brother Gary Jr. is D’Andre Sinegal.
The defense will resume presenting its case Thursday after federal prosecutors on Wednesday rested their 21-count corruption case against former mayor Ray Nagin.
A jury Wednesday night ruled Jefferson Parish government acted negligently for the emergency plan which failed dramatically in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and concluded former Jefferson Parish President Aaron Broussard’s actions during Hurricane Katrina did not amount to willful misconduct.
