Pitre, former chief operating officer of Louisiana State Newspapers, dies

Willie Pitre

Willie Pitre Jr., 70, who served as chief operating officer of Louisiana State Newspapers and publisher of The Eunice News, died Friday at his residence in Lafayette.
Pitre had a 41-year career in the newspaper industry before he retired in December 2006.

Antoine, a Faris Street resident, says he has used his electric golf cart and finds the machine is way to reconnect to neighbors.

Habetz given Bishop’s Medal of Honor

Obituaries

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
