At 4 p.m. Tuesday, the St. Landry Parish School Board will have an Academic Committee meeting in the Central Office Board Room, 1013 Creswell Lane, Opelousas.
The St. Landry Parish School Board will have the Executive, Buildings, Lands & Sites, and Finance committee meetings on Monday beginning at 4 p.m. in the Central Office Board Room, 1013 Creswell Lane, Opelousas.

The St. Landry Parish Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Old City Market, 131 W. Bellevue St., Opelousas.

Brandi N. Guillory, 32, 311 N. East St., Eunice; Criminal mischief and extortion.
Adrian Joubert, 25, 3741 Harvard St., Lake Charles; Warrant.
A 31-year-old Eunice man was killed and a 31-year-old Church Point woman wounded in a shooting that occurred on Shelton Manuel Road near Eunice, a news release from St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz stated.
Retiring LSU Eunice chancellor speaks at Rotary Club

Retired Eunice City Judge Lynette Feucht is the first recipient of the Eunice Distinguished Citizen Award presented by the Evangeline Area Council Boy Scouts of America.
“I’m happy to receive the award,” she said.
