The Eunice High Lady Bobcats used a strong second quarter on the way to propel themselves to a 40-33 victory over the Washington-Marion High Lady Indians in District 4-4A basketball action Monday night at the Eunice High gym.
The wintry mix of snow and ice forced the cancellation of the area high school Friday night basketball games.
St. Edmund’s District 5-1A match-up at False River Academy has been rescheduled for Feb. 5.
The Blue Jays will travel to Sacred Heart of Ville Platte on Tuesday night.
The road to the playoffs became more difficult for both St. Edmund teams after Tuesday night’s sweep by Pointe Coupee Central.
The Lady Cougars (16-6, 3-0 in District 5-1A) held a 29-12 advantage at the break and rolled to a 59-38 win over the Lady Jays (3-15, 1-2).
RAYNE – The Eunice High Lady Bobcats rallied to make it interesting late against the Rayne High Lady Wolves here Friday night.
But outscoring the Lady Wolves 27-21 in the second half couldn’t make up for 28-8 differential in the first half as the Lady Cats dropped a 49-35 decision.
