A proposal to allow golf carts on city streets is back in play before the Eunice Board of Aldermen.
The city meeting is scheduled at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Eunice Municipal Complex, 300 S. 2nd St.

Holly Bertrand will never forget the day she found out she was going to be a mother for the first time — it was today, Mother’s Day.
“The first time I was pregnant, I actually found out I was pregnant on Mother’s Day, so it was a very special Mother’s Day,” Bertrand said.

Eunice sales tax collections rose by 1.8 percent in the first four months of the year, according to a report by the St. Landry Parish School Board Sales Tax Division.

The St. Landry Parish Council plans to adjust its travel budget at its regular meeting on May 18.
At the the Council’s Administrative and Finance Committee Wednesday, an overrun of  the budget was discussed.
