The “hot spot” of all oil activity in North America at the present time is the section in the Eunice vicinity. Fifty rigs are predicted to be running in the next 60 days and a cracking plant and storage tank farm are probable.

If the state 4H Livestock Show had personalized stalls, Blaise Devillier of Eunice High would have one as he again this year is representing his school and his parish in the upcoming show in Gonzales. And he could pass it on to younger brother Dominique.

Two alleged 21st Century rustlers have been charged by St. Landry Parish detectives with two counts of felony cattle theft and two counts of trespassing each.
