The quest for Louisiana’s eight electoral college votes is in full swing with the state’s presidential primary just a few months away and the race for governor decided.

McDonald’s owner/operator Ajay Patel has been awarded the Ronald Award, an honor given to only 1 percent of McDonald’s franchise owners. Patel owns and operates seven area franchises in Central and Southwest Louisiana including the one in Eunice.

Pastors Cardell and Heather Ardoin have done many things in the community since opening their church in 2009, and the leaders have two big projects in the works for next year.

Charles Wilson, 63, Crowley, arrested and charged with distribution of synthetic marijuana and distribution of crack cocaine. Bond set at $80,000.

• 631 crashes in St. Landry Parish.

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
