Slain LSUE student honored

A check for $2,050 was presented to the LSUE Foundation’s Mayci Breaux Memorial Scholarship by a delegation from Delgado Community College in New Orleans on Friday. Second-year Delegado radiologic technology students raised the money in a three-week raffle of NOLA-theme items. The scholarship is in honor of Breaux, who was a first-year radiologic technology student at LSUE who was killed in the July mass shooting at the Grand 16 Lafayette movie theater. The check was presented Friday on the LSUE campus.
