School Board discusses running Head Start

The St. Landry Parish School Board may be running the Head Start program in the parish by next year if it receives a $7.5 million grant.
Superintendent Edward Brown said the application process was expected to begin in October, but has not begun.

Destiny Dawn Jenkins McKee, 30, 1300 block of West Peach, Eunice. Theft of goods (shoplifting). Released on summons and three bench warrants for St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Obituaries

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
