Bishop Michael Jarrell, who served as pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Ville Platte, announced Thursday the formation of a a group to study the troubled high school.
A news release from the diocese stated Jarrell had sent a letter to the Sacred Heart School family.

Two men are sought in an April 25 shooting at the Kathy Apartment Complex in Crowley by the Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon.
The two men are wanted in connection with the shooting of a 28-year-old Crowley man.
The suspects are identified as:

The French flowed like, well, more like iced tea as about 20 people met Tuesday over lunch to discuss twinning the city of Eunice with Jouars-Pontchartrain in France.
Jouars-Pontchartrain is in north central France and has a population of about 5,000 people.

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
