LSUE students experience economic development first-hand

To some watching economic development may be akin to monitoring the growth of grass in December, but seven college students said the St. Landry Parish Economic Development board meeting was, at the least, interesting.

Justice Department: Ville Platte Police Department, Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office investigated for illegal detentions

The Justice Department announced Tuesday that it has opened pattern or practice investigations into the use of investigative holds by the Ville Platte Police Department and the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office, a Justice Department news release stated.

Obituaries

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
