Former Evangeline Parish Clerk of Court Walter Lee died Sunday.
Lee served as clerk of court from 1956 to 2012.
He was 93 years old. Lee was born Sept. 9, 1921.

Joshua Wayne Miller, 18, 340 Eisenhower, Eunice; Resisting an officer, simple burglary, criminal damage to a coin-operated device and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Louisiana State University Eunice is among 26 recipients of grants for implementing innovative models for teacher training.

Funding for a Eunice master plan is hold, Mayor Rusty Moody said.
“The way the economic situation is right now, we need to kick back and take a look at the revenue coming in and what we are putting out,” he said.

Leaves are taking over some streets in Eunice and Mayor Rusty Moody said the problem must be stemmed.
“We’ve got to do something,” he said of loose leaves. “It is just getting out of hand.”

Irice Ann Darbonne Lavergne passed away on Thursday November 17, 2016 at the age of 73.
Burial will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
