St. Landry Parish Parish projects continue

There were reports of developments in St. Landry Parish despite the slowdown in the oil and gas industry at a meeting of the St. Landry Parish Economic Industrial Development District Board.

Second look shows oil prices hit harder on Louisiana jobs in 2015

BATON ROUGE – New seasonally-adjusted federal data for 2015 show Louisiana lost more jobs than earlier estimated, in large part weighed down by the impact of low oil prices, a news release from the Louisiana Workforce Commission stated.

Cooking demonstration planned at Prairie Acadian Culture Center

A series of guest chef demonstrations begins at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Jean Lafitte National Park Prairie Acadian Culture Center.
The event was announced by the St. Landry Parish Tourist Commission and is being organized by Louisiana Kitchen & Culture magazine.
