The Eunice Rotary Club is looking for a citizen who has shown extraordinary community spirit and given outstanding service to the community as the organization accepts nominations for the 2015 Citizen of the Year Award.
As the next governor and Legislature segues into a new term, the Louisiana Republican Party is transitioning into a new era as well.

The October election brought change to the Eunice-area political landscape.
Phillip DeVillier won the election for District 41 state representative. DeVillier will follow three-term Rep. Mickey Guillory into the office.
Guillory was term-limited out of the office.

Homecoming week at Eunice High started off on a sad note as students at the school learned their schoolmate Julia Watford, 16, and her younger sister Jayia, 9, had died by the hands of their own mother during a murder-suicide.
