A street improvement project in University Place was altered after it was discovered the road base was nearly non-existent in places.
An LSU AgCenter economist estimates that August’s historic flooding in south Louisiana will cost farmers $277 million, more than doubling his original figure of $110 million.
Enrollment is up 15.9 percent for the fall semester at Louisiana State University Eunice over the fall of 2015, according to final regular fall semester enrollment figures released by the university’s registrar’s office.
Enrollment is at 2,906 students.
Church bazaar in Duralde
The annual church bazaar at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Duralde is set for Saturday and Sunday.
