Baltakis appointment up in the air

A Eunice representative on the St. Landry Parish Economic Development District board of directors faces a second vote on his appointment by the Parish Council.

Fontenot takes oath for 2nd term as parish president; Colby Clavier, new District 13 council member, takes office

As Parish President Bill Fontenot began his second term Monday, he reminded about 200 people attending inaugural ceremony that four years ago St. Landry Parish was known for its bad roads.

Parish Council to have 6 new members this year

After 23 years serving, first as a police juror then as a parish councilman, Gary Courville, 68, is leaving an elected job he first won in what he calls a surprising election.
